Isabella joined the staff of ECS in 2007. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Museology from the Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO) and a Master’s degree in Art and Architecture History from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RIO), both in Brazil. She is an accomplished visual artist who operated her own business in Faux Finishes and Fine Arts for more than 15 years. During the 1990′s Isabella came to the United States to participate in the International Decorative Artisans League (IDAL) conventions where she taught sessions on new faux finishing techniques that she developed. Today Isabella has transformed and applied her artistic skills along with her academic background to professionally conserve the outer and inner art on and in books. She is a member of the IDAL, Associação Brasileira de Encadernação e Restauro (ABER) and the Guild of Book Workers.
